Dr. Nettie Web
Secretary/Treasurer
Dr. Nettie Webb has been an educator for thirty-nine years. She has
taught preschool through graduate school. She has had diversified
experience as a principal, staff developer, educational leader/consultant, language arts coordinator, reading teacher and classroom teacher. Dr. Webb retired as principal of the Lee F. Jackson School in the Greenburgh Central Seven School District.
She holds several degrees. A Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Fredonia State University, New York; a Masters of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Reading from Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY, New York; a Masters and Professional Diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision from Pace University, New York; a Doctorate in Education for the Study of Teaching and Curriculum from Syracuse University, New York.
Dr. Webb has represented the educational community by being
appointed to several state and national boards such as the Board of
Directors for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and the Commissioner's Task Force on the Teaching Profession for the New York Board of Regents. She has also been a guest presenter at national and international conferences in the areas of reading and early childhood and has co-led a delegation of educators who visited China to compare teaching standards in their country and ours.
Her community involvement includes her active involvement in her
church, Calvary Baptist Church. She is a Sunday School Teacher,
member of the Nursery Department, the Youth Advisory Board,
Director of the Super Readers I and Il Clubs, and Director of the
Parent Council. She is also a member of the Westchester Community Organization.
